Rent4rest SAO Bento Charming 1 Bedroom Apartment

For €850 a week, this was expensive for what we got. The apartment is bright, spacious, clean, and well equipped, but it's quite far from the city center and definitely not peaceful. We were woken every morning by loud construction upstairs, with drills, hammers, and workers shouting from 8:00 AM. At night, the neighbor's TV carried on past midnight. It sits against the bedroom's shared wall, so we heard it too. The bedroom faces the street and is noisy, while the living room looks onto a public parking lot where car alarms sometimes go off for ages. I contacted the rental agency, Rent4Rest, to say they shouldn't rent out a holiday apartment during construction without at least warning guests at booking. Apparently noise and building work from 8:00 AM are legal, so... profit seems to matter more than guest comfort. The mattresses sag with a dip in the middle, the bath towels were stained, and the provided shower gels smelled awful, like sewage. The power trips as soon as you use the oven. There's only one apartment key. A second one is in a lockbox on the door handle, but we weren't given the code.

It was a really nice, spacious, clean apartment, and we didn't have any noise. The building looked pretty run-down outside, and the IT check-in was a little confusing, but I'd still recommend the place. A sofa bed in place of the regular sofa would be a useful addition.
