I was meant to stay two nights, but couldn’t even make it through the first one. I checked out and left as fast as I could. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, and this was by far the worst. It’s worrying that places like this are still open to the public. The room had poor hygiene, a broken door, and was cold. The building looked ready to collapse at any moment, and so did the elevator. It felt like a horror movie.

The location is great, and this is a basic, budget hotel that works if you just need a place to sleep. My room was small but adequate. I was pleasantly surprised that the aircon worked and was fairly quiet, although it didn’t seem as cold as it might once have been, it still cooled the room. Finding reception was confusing. I think it was on the fourth floor, and I might have struggled if I hadn’t run into two guests when I arrived. It also went unstaffed for a while, so I could have thought it was closed. I’m not sure why it’s called a bed and breakfast when there’s no breakfast. Some booking sites seem to be dropping the B&B from the name, so perhaps Google hasn’t caught up. If you need space to do a bit of work, this probably isn’t the place. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Stay away. It was the worst place I’ve ever been: dirty, smelly, and noisy, with really bad staff. The old bathroom got blocked at one point and poo was all over the room. We had to change rooms three times.

The only thing I liked was being near the metro. I expected some street noise, but all the unpleasant sounds came from inside the building: horrible, scary plumbing noises when anyone used the bathroom, and sometimes even when nobody did. The front door slammed all night, other guests were loud in the hallway, and the room doors were noisy too. I couldn’t lock my room door from either side, though I don’t know if that’s how it’s meant to be or if it was broken. The bathroom plumbing smelled, and there was a slight mould smell. I saw some mould, too. The water took more than five minutes to warm up, which felt wasteful. The only toiletries were soap. I could go on about the poor upkeep of the room and furniture. It was overpriced for the quality, since I’ve stayed in much better places for less. I often spend a couple of nights in Lisbon, but I’ll make sure not to stay here again.

The pictures make the place look much fancier than it is, though maybe it depends on the room. Mine wasn’t good. There were stains on the towels, the beds were very small and uncomfortable, and the view was really boring. Noise carried clearly from all around. If you need somewhere at the last minute, this bed and breakfast might work as an emergency option. I wouldn’t go back.
