TURIM Alameda Hotel

For business travel the hotel is fine, though the rooms feel expensive for their size, cleanliness, and general quality. What really stood out was the bar service. Mario Macedo and Ricardo Costa were incredibly kind and looked after us so well. They made a real difference to our stay.

The room was unbearably hot at night, so I went down to reception in the middle of the night after opening the window just to sleep. The manager came to look, but later said the AC was centrally controlled and nothing could be done. It took a couple of hours to replace the broken phone, which wasn't working when we arrived. The kettle smelled terrible, so we couldn't make tea or coffee, and there were large ants in the bathroom. We reported them, but they were still there the next day. Breakfast was the only good part, and it couldn't make up for the rest. A very unpleasant stay at Turim Alameda Hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was cleaned every day, and the staff made the stay especially pleasant. Wanessa at reception and Mario Macedo at the bar were friendly, easy to approach, and exceptionally helpful. They took extra time to answer our questions about nearby shops and services and getting around on public transport.

Loved the breakfast, though it cost 15€/pers and wasn't included. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, but the TV was small and old and there weren't any plugs by the beds. I wouldn't call it worth 4*. It's a bit far from the center, but Ubers are very cheap, so that's okay.
