It was a little tricky to find at first because I couldn’t see a sign outside. Once in, the common areas were neat, and there were enough showers and toilets. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. When the taps stopped running, staff quickly brought out bottled water, though we were about to leave and I don’t know what had happened. I’d recommend it.

The sheets had mystery stains, and after a long journey that was the last thing we wanted. Our room had a fake window so close to the neighboring building I could almost touch it with my arms out. The wooden floors creaked, and the toilets flushing made a racket. We were meant to stay three nights with my partner, but barely got through the first. For that price, I’d book a hotel instead.

Our room faced the bathroom, and every sound from in there came straight through. It was so hard to sleep that after the first night we booked another hotel just to get enough rest to enjoy Lisbon. The rooms have no soundproofing. I really don’t recommend staying here.

The old-fashioned keys kept slipping out of the doors, so those locks need replacing. Aside from that, it was a nice experience. The location is good, near the center, with direct metro access.
