The host was lovely and the stay was comfortable. After a hot walk, the pool was just right for cooling off. Breakfast is included, and dinner is available for an extra charge.

Such a beautiful place, with a well-kept yard and a charming little house that has everything you need. The host was really friendly, and we were very happy with how welcoming and hospitable he was.

The garden was the highlight for us, with wooded hills behind it and a view across the Atlantic. It was lovely for eating outside. We started our holiday at Casa do Chafariz with a warm welcome from the charming, sociable José, who had left chilled espumante, local pastries, fruit, and flowers from the garden for us. The casa is modern, comfortable, and well equipped, just right for the two of us. The area is lovely too, with clean sandy beaches nearby, Viana do Castelo about a 15-minute drive away, and Porto less than an hour away. One of our best self-catering weeks. We’ll definitely be back, and highly recommend it.
