The Plaza Doha, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Breakfast was the highlight of our family’s five-day New Year stay. Gomes (Corne) made every morning special with attentive, gracious service and a smile. He was off on our last day, so we missed thanking him in person, but Yousef and Munim picked up seamlessly. Aya and Nics at the lobby always greeted us warmly, and Chris and the pool crew kept things clean, fun, and relaxing for the family. The hotel’s elegant European feel and refined details made a strong impression from arrival. Everyone was friendly and welcoming throughout. The stay was a memorable, luxurious end to our Doha trip and a lovely way to start the year. We’d happily return and recommend it. Thanks to the whole team.

The rooftop pool and restaurant were nice, and the food was good, though it came from the kitchen rather than being made where you eat. The towels were oddly special, but they really were! First impressions were of a very clean place with interesting design touches. Our room was lovely, with a king bed and a five-piece bathroom. The shower floor was slippery, so we used one of the floor towels provided.

Yousef, who served us at breakfast, was attentive, friendly, and professional, and his warm smile made our mornings even nicer. The breakfast itself was superb. Our stay at The Plaza Doha was a great experience, 100/100. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the amenities top-notch, and the elegant atmosphere still felt relaxing. We received a warm welcome and excellent service throughout. Highly recommend, and we can’t wait to return.

The Plaza Doha is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, with amazing rooms, rooftop, and spa facilities. Its elegant feel and location near a mosque were both appealing. After some confusion, the hotel resolved the reservation issue when I showed proof that we’d paid extra for three guests, though the booking had been marked for two. I appreciated the generous upgrade, and Hilton’s app made selecting my Gold Member upgrade easy, which improved the stay. There were service issues too. The included breakfast benefit was initially missed, and check-in staff gave us the wrong breakfast hours. Breakfast became repetitive, and service was inconsistent. One staff member’s attitude changed noticeably midway through service. Amenities weren’t replenished daily, so we had to ask repeatedly, car collection was slower than expected, and we repeatedly had to request washing machine tablets that weren’t provided at first. The men’s spa was nice, but staff were too present for comfort, even while we were showering, so privacy was lacking. Despite these problems, the upgrade and the quality of the rooms and spa made the stay memorable. With better service consistency and attention to detail, the hotel could get close to perfect.
