Clubul De Vacanta Mediterraneo - Neptun(Empty)

The beach is easy to get to, and there's a lovely restaurant right on it where we had lunch and dinner. We had such a nice stay: large rooms, a wonderful pool, lovely staff, and an exquisite breakfast. It's perfect for families with kids, and for others too. We'll definitely come back!

One major drawback is how close the railway line between Constanta and Mangalia is to the resort. The swimming pool is always clean and a pleasure to relax in, though it gets crowded sometimes. There are many amenities included in the accommodation, and the service was great. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices and above-average food, fruit, and sweets. Check-in and check-out were easy, the staff were friendly and ready to help with our needs, and secure parking is available on the premises. It's a quiet, exceptional place.

The staff at reception were friendly and nice, but the people in the breakfast and restaurant area weren't welcoming and didn't smile. The rooms were clean, although the jacuzzi didn't work, and some towels had old yellow marks. There were no other activities offered during our stay, such as a gym or spa. There's only a very tiny room. The bar was empty the whole time, and after 19:00 there was almost no activity. Without meaning any disrespect, I've seen more life at a graveyard. This is a good quiet hotel, especially at night, and it works for kids, with a pool and space to run around. Bringing children for some beach time would be okay. But for a couple's trip, a date, or a group of friends, it's not a good fit. It's presented as a 5-star hotel/complex, but it doesn't live up to that. A simple Google search describes 5 stars as luxury items and a luxury experience, and that's not what this place offers.

The staff were amazing, the best team I've ever come across, from the director to the cleaning crew. The cleaning ladies are a bit loud in the morning, but still the best. The pool suits our needs perfectly, and the breakfast and location are nice. The downsides: the hotel's own rules aren't followed, with smoking around the pool, which is a big minus, and people jumping into it. The mosquito screens in the windows and doors are far from perfect. The soundproofing seems like it wasn't even a goal, since you hear everything from other guests, and many of them are thick-skinned. The AC is almost dead, you can barely feel any cold air. Five stars? No. This staff should be hired by a real 5-star hotel :) One particular big minus is the door mechanisms. They seem designed to make as much noise as possible when closing.
