It was ok.

Small, clean, and cheap.

The grounds around Neptun were a mess: rubbish, thistles, holes and broken benches, including around the parks and lakes between Neptun and Jupiter. The same view carried on at the beach. I wondered what the resort administration was doing, and whether the mayor ever saw it. Not all that litter can be blamed on careless tourists. The place felt miserable and shameful for visitors, with the risk of getting sick seeming to be everywhere. Masks were almost nowhere to be seen, even in stores. Consumer protection sees nothing? Our stay was a missed holiday. This is a HOSTEL, not a HOTEL, with rooms extremely small even for one person, apparently converted from non-family dormitories. The parking area is really a square in an unkempt patch between the dormitories, muddy after the first rain. Filth and garbage greeted us as soon as we got out of the car. By the entrance there was a full trash can and a broken chair. Inside, the staircase was clean and carpeted, and the corridor was lit and maintained by Mrs. Mihaela, the housekeeper, who was clearly trying to make the place less disappointing. But there was nowhere to dry towels, and the grill by the window was tiny. The suspended TV only showed a normal picture from one particular position. Prices are very high for what you get. I’d avoid vacationing here, unless you want to drive every day to other places to feel good, such as Popasul Pescarilor, which I recommend.

For a two-star place, I think it was worth the price. There was a TV, kettle and fridge, and everything worked. The accommodation itself was ok for the money. The tree-filled space is more like an unkempt square, but at least you get room to park your car for free and in the shade. So let's not be grumblers. If you can afford five stars and paid parking, there are choices, though of course people may complain about the conditions here.
