I’ve been staying at Manazil periodically for over four years, and I’m actually there right now. The beds are very comfortable, and for the same price it’s good value compared with other hotels. It’s neither the best nor the worst place to stay. If you’re a Westerner or European unfamiliar with local hotels in KSA, I wouldn’t recommend any except known Western chains. Local hotels in KSA don’t provide the kind of customer service you get in the West or Europe.

It’s an old, simple apartment, but it can do the job. It has a microwave, electric jug, cookers, kitchen utensils, a clean and neat bathroom, and a sitting room. It also costs less than most.

There’s plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby, and the one-bedroom apartment is a good size. It’s older, but has most things you need, including a kitchen with some pots and pans for cooking. The bed was comfortable. We were happy with those basics, but our sink was cracked, the bathroom lamp had burn marks above it, and there were burn marks around the cooktop. The couch had stains and cigarette burns, and the dining table had only two chairs. There weren’t many outlets for personal use, especially in the living room. We confirmed by booking messages with the manager that we’d have a bathtub, but there wasn’t one in our apartment when we arrived. The front desk said no room with a bathtub was available. The apartment was okay. Parking in front or on the street is better, since the lot behind the lobby is tight.
