Hotel & Ristorante Bellora

The decorations are really nice, but the hotel itself is old and has an unpleasant smell. I ordered alcohol-free beer and was served one that was almost 11 months past its expiry date. When we asked for another, all of them were expired. Please check the food properly.

A fine hotel with nearly everything within walking distance, and a tram nearby if you need it. The breakfast and bar are excellent.

Right in the heart of Gothenburg’s famous “Avenue,” this is a slightly older but very chic boutique hotel. The service is excellent, the dinner choices are great, and breakfast is even better.

We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel. Someone in the family had suggested it, so we chose it for a romantic weekend. Before arrival I ordered flowers and champagne for the room and asked whether we could have a bathtub. The hotel helped with all of it and had everything ready. We felt welcome as soon as we reached reception, and the receptionist was lovely and took time to explain the facilities. The room was nice and prepared well for us. We enjoyed breakfast, drinks in the lounge, and a meal at the hotel restaurant, which I reviewed separately. The floral dresses and shirts worn by all the female staff and some of the male staff were a lovely touch and very well done. The hotel is right on the avenue, so there’s a lot of disco noise. We’d been warned and still picked a room facing the street because of the bathtub. I slept badly the first night, before noticing the earplugs the hotel had put in the bathroom. I could have avoided the problem by looking more carefully. The next night was good once I used them.
