Quality Hotel Ekoxen

The playroom for kids is really good for families, and breakfast was very good, a firm 5*. Our room was clean, but so basic that it felt like too little for the price. It was cold when we arrived, so we turned on the radiator; after about three hours it was okayish. We were on the fourth floor, where there was a disgusting smell throughout. I’m not sure what it was.

The breakfast buffet was free and had loads to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was fine, though a bit pricey. All in all, very good. I’d stay again.

The room felt worn and could use renovation. There were holes in the curtains, and the bathtub was really uncomfortable to stand in. It creaked and shifted in the shower enough to make me worry it might break. The exhaust fan was noisy and couldn’t be switched off. Parking is in a small underground garage beneath the hotel, with an elevator directly up, though guests in the adjacent building have to use several elevators. Breakfast was a good buffet, pretty much as expected and nothing unusual. For the money, Quality Hotel Ekoxen is generally okay.

The breakfast was good, but the room had poor soundproofing. I was woken early by guests slamming doors and renovation work right outside. When I asked to move rooms, they said I could do it only by paying an extra fee each day, which didn’t feel friendly. You can probably find a better hotel at the same price or even for less.
