I spent 10 days here and came away surprised by the negative reviews about sanitation and guest service. I arrived 5 hours before check-in feeling unwell, and the woman at the front desk let me go up early after seeing me resting at a lobby table. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location is excellent: a grocery store is basically connected, with 20 or more places to eat and shop within a 10-minute walk. A 20-minute walk nearly doubles the choices. My room was clean and quiet, the windows opened for fresh air, the heat worked well, and the shower was clean. The bed wasn't especially comfortable, but that's fairly common in Sweden, and I slept fine and woke refreshed. The main room drawback was the single tiny pillow; extra ones cost a couple of USD. You also have to take your own trash out. It's just outside the front door and in the next door down the road, so it only takes a few seconds when heading out. Breakfast is free in the morning and a pretty good spread. The coffee machine makes good coffee, about $1.25 after breakfast ends, around 10ish on weekends and 9:15ish on weekdays. The TV is horrible, so bring a laptop or watch on your phone if you like TV while traveling. Rooms use key cards now, not PIN codes. The sauna worked, and the gym is enough to keep active. There's also a 24 fitness a few minutes up the road with a low daily price. Parking costs about $15 per day. It's in a gated, secured lot accessed by scan card, so it's safe and ding-free, with electric charging available. I rented a car and left it there the whole time; it never got a door ding. They don't refund unused parking days, though. I returned the rental a day early and got that day's rental cost back, but not the $15 parking fee. That's a small complaint. I'd give the place 5/5, not because it's the best hotel I've stayed in, but because the value for the cost is so high.

We stayed two nights in July. Check-in details had been sent ahead, so things seemed well organized at first. But we arrived 2 hours early hoping to leave our bags, which the information said we could do. The number we were told to call was out of service, and none of the customer service numbers answered. We stood outside for a long time until a security guard let us in and gave us the baggage room code. The room was clean and spacious, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and seemed unsuitable for two people because any movement shook the whole thing. It also got very hot and was hard to air out. Breakfast was simple but had what you need, and the location can't be beat. Despite the problems, I'd still recommend it for a short stay, though you may run into technical issues like we did.

The rooms are filthy and run-down, with bathroom mold, hair on the bed, and furniture that's stained and disgusting. In all my years traveling, even two-star hotels have been in better shape. Don't be fooled by decade-old photos or the obviously fake reviews. Terrible hotel, stay away if you can.

We had a spacious family room that was clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. Great location, easy self check-in, and the parking lot is right outside. The sofa was the problem: it seems to be missing a kind of top mattress, so I could feel the metal springs poking me all night. The ventilation was also blasting straight onto the sofa.

The location is really good, so it works fine for a few days. But both rooms I rented needed much more cleaning. In the first, cheaper and larger room, there was hair under the mattress and on the pillowcases and duvets. There were lots of flies, dirty windows, and spiders too. The second room cost more, yet it was much smaller than the first, despite looking spacious in the booking photos. It was dirty as well, with hair under the mattress, two tiny pillows like ones for a living room, and mold in the bathroom. The shower head was broken and fell on my head while I was showering. The door also only closed if I slammed it hard. The laundry was disgusting. The machines smelled awful, didn't work properly, and one leaked water the whole time I was there. Avoid them if you can. There usually isn't staff around for most of the day, though the two people I saw working seemed friendly. Beds really need to be cleaned between guests. It's disgusting to find the previous tenants' hair there.
