I barely slept, and the room was warm but loud because the windows were poorly insulated. After a closer look, I realized my window was about 50m from the railway, so trains started passing fast after I managed to close my eyes for a while. The roadworks had been worse, though: they kept going way past 10pm, just a few metres from the building, using plate compactors that shook the whole wall. I couldn't really complain about the trains after that. Things had already gone badly at check-in. Once I got my key, I was told there was no running water because a main pipe had broken and the municipality was working on it, but they had no estimated finish time. I asked if I could buy water to wash my hands before eating my takeaway. They said yes, then brought back a 200ml sparkling water bottle refilled with water. It was kind of them to try, but I should have been told before checking in that I wouldn't be able to flush the toilet. I know the water problem wasn't their fault, but letting construction or repair work carry on so late at night is unacceptable. I didn't try the restaurant in the morning because of the water issue. By the time I woke up, the water was back, so at least I could brush my teeth. Horrible experience.

The mattress felt too soft to me, though that's very subjective, and the room could have been cleaner. There were plenty of pillows for a single room, which was a plus. Breakfast surprised me in a good way, with lots to choose from and everything fresh. The coffee, unfortunately, came from a thermos.

The best part of my stay was Alice, the blonde receptionist. She was always polite, kind, and helpful, and went beyond what I expected with how much she cared. Thank you, Alice, you made the stay more enjoyable. The building in the photos is misleading: the hotel only occupies one floor, and the rest is offices. Some rooms are being refurbished and look quite nice. I first got a single room right beside reception, and was shocked by the bathroom's size and condition. The shower head was rusty and the toilet seat was falling apart. Luckily, a few double rooms were free, so I moved straight out of that nightmare. The shower water also runs all over the floor because there's no barrier, and they leave a floor squeegee for guests to clean it up, otherwise you could slip or feel like you're swimming. The breakfast room is tiny, with only five tables, and the food is okay for a 3-star place. I did appreciate the tea, coffee, microwave, and kettle in the corridor.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the hotel is fine for a short two-day stay. My double room was small, with no air conditioning for hot days. The bathroom was okay, but its floor is flat, with no raised area to separate the shower from the toilet. Breakfast was enough to get by. Keep in mind parking is free from 6.00 pm to 10.00 am.

The rooms weren't clean enough. The floors were so dirty that white socks turned black quickly, and we ended up taking out the trash ourselves because the cleaner left it for several days. The hotel is very close to the noisy train station. If the room climate had been better, the noise might not have bothered us so much, but we had to keep the windows open to cool the room and couldn't get a proper night's sleep. We definitely won't return.
