We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and the hotel is very comfortable. Our first room wasn’t to our liking because its window looked onto the inner courtyard. I asked about switching, and the staff quickly offered us two rooms in the same category with better views. They were so attentive and kind. It’s in a great spot beside a lively square with shops and places to eat, and Gamla Stan is only a 10-minute walk away. The room was spotless, and the bathroom products smelled wonderful. Breakfast was quite good, but leave yourself extra time. Some dishes have to be ordered from a waiter instead of being ready at the buffet, so go earlier if you’re in a hurry.

Just commenting on brunch. The eggs arrived cold and service was slow. Nobody checked whether we wanted more coffee, and I had to go looking for our waiter several times. The loud disco music on December 20 made the meal feel like sitting in a nightclub. Those small details make a difference to me.

I was there for just one night, but this is the hotel I’d pick again. It felt very luxurious, and the staff were friendly. I had an early departure, so they kindly put together breakfast with tea for me. It was delicious and generous, with a cheese sandwich, yogurt and granola, a banana, and pastries. I even ate some as snacks. I’d gladly stay longer next time. The room felt a bit tight, probably because I had a big bag. This really is a five-star hotel.

The location is the only thing worth dreaming about here. The price says luxury, but the service was lousy and the setup felt like a cheap hotel. Breakfast was basic and made the experience even worse. With the five-star claims, the whole thing felt like a scam. Don’t spoil a family trip by choosing this place.
