Eight Rooms

I was on a business trip for three nights, and got no sleep. The fan was extremely loud and couldn't be switched off because it serves the whole building, as staff explained by phone. I also hadn't been told when booking with Expedia that the bathroom was shared. I only learned that from reviews on the morning I arrived. The bathroom stank, there was mold in every corner of the shower, and the toilet brush had poo from countless previous guests. People smoked in their rooms, leaving the whole building smelling of stale smoke. The photos looked a thousand years old. They call this a Business Hotel, but I wouldn't come back in my life. My contact with the staff, especially Michael, was nice. They were helpful and friendly. That's the only good thing I can say about the stay.

Inside, everything was very good: a soft bed and a hot shower. The problem is getting in. It's a fully automatic hotel, and they send the entry code on the check-in day. If anything goes wrong, or you have no internet or your phone battery dies, you could be left outside in the Swedish winter.

The room had no outside window, only one facing the stairwell. Light from there was bright enough at night that I woke at 3 am thinking it was daylight. When anyone showered, the sink in the room made noise and a terrible smell came out of it. The tiny room was around 5 sqm. It was too cold at first, though they adjusted the temperature remotely and then it was okay. I couldn't adjust it myself. A fan made the room super loud at night. I also hadn't realized the shower and toilet were in the corridor, not in the room. There was no soap, which would've been good to have. Worst stay in Stockholm.

I booked a deluxe room and was very happy with it, especially the bed. The Hästens mattress was top quality and so comfortable to sleep on. They'd also put real thought into the towels and linens, small touches that make a difference. The hotel is close to everything, and only 300 meters away there's an amazing view over Stockholm. Service uses the latest technology: self check-in worked perfectly, and an email arrived before our stay with all the information we needed. When I needed anything, a call or email to the manager got a quick response and help. I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone after high quality for a good price.
