Generator Stockholm

The rooms at Generator Hostel were roomy and comfortable, with a stylish design, and the bar and restaurant downstairs made it easy to get food or have a drink without heading out. It’s a lively place with a cool, modern feel. The bathrooms were quite small, and there wasn’t much room to store things, which might be awkward on a longer visit. It’s also a bit of a trek to town, so expect to walk or take public transport. Still, it was a comfortable, stylish stay with good spaces to socialize.

I liked the chance to meet people from around the world and try new things. The accommodation was nice, secure, and well priced, and the staff were friendly and ready to help with any concerns. It’s about a five-minute walk from the city center, with easy access to popular places and transport at any hour. I’d recommend staying here in Stockholm.

The location is good, the rooms were well kept and fully equipped, and the beds and clean linen were comfortable. The staff were friendly. I was also glad to see that our room’s bathroom was set up for people with disabilities, which felt like a good effort to make the hostel more inclusive. The missing kitchen is a big drawback, though. For a hostel in an expensive city like Stockholm, that makes little sense to me, especially when many guests are backpackers, students, or others on a budget, and I’m seeing more seniors traveling too. Having a kitchen would also make travel more sustainable. It seems the architect didn’t understand what a hostel is when planning the building.

Paulina was especially helpful and welcoming, and quickly took care of any problems I had. She really made the stay better. The breakfast was good too, with plenty to choose from. I ordered avocado toast with poached eggs, made fresh and delicious. You get a discount if you add breakfast at check-in. I stayed in a comfortable, well-maintained dorm room shared with five others. There was a socket and reading light by the bed, but I wish the beds had curtains for more privacy. A great hostel stay in Stockholm, and I’d recommend it.
