Norrland YMCA Hostel

The included breakfast was very nice, and the place was clean and super affordable, great value for your pennies. The location worked perfectly for us: close to the railway station and city center, as well as buses connecting to places like Umeå harbour for the ferry to Vaasa, Finland. The breakfast was really, really good 👌. Our room and the shared bathroom were clean too. A good place to stay in Umeå, close to the train and bus stations, city center, and river.

The shared spaces were a real plus: a roomy common area, a well-equipped and very clean kitchen, and laundry facilities that were included in the price and well maintained. The rooms were spacious for a hostel and had windows, and the bathrooms were large and comfortable. Our included breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options. The staff were extremely friendly and cheerful, and the location was excellent. There were only two showers on the floor, and the kitchen felt a little small. It could fit eight people, but only four could cook at once. Even so, it was one of the best hostels I've stayed in, and we had a fantastic experience.

We had a pleasant four-night stay, and booking, check-in, and check-out all went smoothly. The rooms have been newly renovated; ours was nicely furnished and clean. The staff were super friendly. The breakfast buffet was the best I've seen in a hostel, with coffee, juice, bread, waffles, cereals, and more. We had to leave early on our last day, so they even gave us breakfast to go! Tack så mycket!
