I went for lunch and found the atmosphere calm. The meal was served buffet style, with just one dish to choose from that day. It was generally well cooked, but much of it was already seasoned and there weren't many raw vegetables. The food came across as a bit salty overall.

We found the hotel clean, with tasteful, minimalist furnishings and an easy location to reach by car. Its simple, beautiful rooms and lovely restaurant made for a comfortable stay while visiting Uppsala. It felt like modern Sweden. Breakfast was a treat.

We had a great stay over Christmas, when the hotel was fairly quiet. We were there for five nights to visit Uppsala and attend our grandson's christening at the cathedral. The location was excellent for exploring the city.

I stayed here while taking my parents to the hospital across the road. It was a warm, simple hotel and suited them well as a base for their daily visits. The restaurant has a limited menu, but there's a convenience store about five minutes down the road.
