Hotell Fyrislund

We booked a room with shared kitchen and bathroom. It was small, but perfectly okay, and both shared spaces were impressively clean. The breakfast was good value since it was included, with the usual European selection of bread, meat, salad, oats and muesli, milk, yoghurt and boiled eggs. We arrived at 3 a.m. after letting the hotel know two weeks ahead. They sent clear self check-in instructions, and checking in late was easy and didn't cost extra. The hotel is quite far from the city centre, but that felt fair for the price. Some staff were extremely friendly; a few others seemed less welcoming, so I found it hard to judge the service overall.

The breakfast was extremely basic, and the tiny rooms need renovating.

I stayed in a single room and thought it was quite nice, though I didn't look around the rest of the hotel. My company paid, so I can't say whether the price was good. Breakfast was good enough. The shower needs another glass panel because water ended up all over the bathroom floor, though they do provide a squeegee.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, the parking is free, and the rooms are allergy-safe. It's near the main roads with a bus stop close by, and the beer in the evening was reasonably priced. Can't really go wrong here. The rooms are small, as others have mentioned, but my bed was perfect: soft while still supportive, and my back was fine. I chose one of the cheaper rooms with a bathroom down the corridor. Even though I was travelling alone, the friendly staff gave me two key cards, so I could leave my phone and laptop charging when I went out, or one person could leave if sharing a room.
