Uppsala City Hostel

It was quiet, with no crowds, and the location meant I could walk everywhere. The kitchen was huge and had all kinds of cooking equipment, while the bathrooms were really clean and fresh. I've stayed in several Scandinavian hostels, and this was the best. My room was cosy, with clean linen, lockers, a study table and a stool. The staff were very helpful. It works well for business or study visits.

The kitchen and dining room had plenty of equipment for the number of guests, and the shared bathrooms were spacious, fresh and well kept. The owners were helpful and energetic, always nearby to keep things clean and working and sort out any problems. It's a family-run place right in the centre, handy for everything. My room wasn't large, but it was nicely arranged and furnished, with a comfortable bed, mini-fridge, and a proper table and chair for using a laptop.

The dorm room was quite cold, though the bed linen was very clean, as were the toilets. The showers and toilets were excellent, and there's a TV room. Internet was fast, and reception was friendly and easy to deal with. The kitchen has basic utensils, and the premises cover the essentials. Keep in mind that bed linen and towels cost extra if you want them.

The location was handy, near Uppsala C and the shopping district. Rooms were a little cramped but still usable. Check-in hours are long, and staff were happy to keep my luggage after checkout. The kitchen was great, and the free morning coffee was a nice extra.
