Claude Hotel

It was easy to get here from the airport on one train line, and the hotel is really close to the bars and restaurant area. The room wasn’t big, but it was exactly what I needed for the price. I liked the interiors too, and could just relax on the bed after coming back. Good value for money.

We were especially glad to be near Maxwell and Outram Park metro stations, which made getting around town easier. The room was small and had no windows, but that made it quieter and more peaceful for sleeping in. The facilities felt new and modern, and the staff were quite friendly from check-in through checkout. We also got a pleasant surprise: guests can use the modern washer and dryer for free, and detergent is provided. Checkout at noon was a little later than at most of the other hotels we looked at. They also hold your luggage after checkout, so you can enjoy the city before a later flight. While looking for a place in Singapore, we realized hotels are expensive and rooms are very small. We chose Claude Hotel after seeing on Agoda that it had been remodeled the previous year, figuring a newer, cleaner room with fresh design might make the high cost easier to justify. We were happy to find it, enjoyed our three-night stay, and would stay again on our next visit to Singapore.

The room is small, as you’d expect in Singapore, but it’s clean, comfortable, and laid out really well. Claude Hotel is in a great spot in Chinatown, close to the attractions and metro. I had a wonderful stay and recommend it!

I’ve stayed in three different rooms, and the Deluxe Double Room was my favourite. They’re tiny, though, and I felt more comfortable there on my own. For two people it would definitely be a squeeze. The rooms still have what you need: privacy, a really good rain shower, a comfy bed, and a very clean, minimalist place to rest. If you’re after more space to relax, I wouldn’t recommend it. Space costs more in Singapore, so you’d need to look at a pricier place. This quaint, lovely hotel is a good affordable option if you want access to well-known cafes, bakeries, tourist attractions like gardens by the bay and MBS, or the Orchard area. The team make sure the service is good, and everyone has been helpful and kind. Across my three visits, only one staff member left me with a bad impression. Special shout out to Michelle and Shahrul for making my stay warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely come back if I want a night out in the CBD area. Between Kinn Studios and Claude, I’d choose Claude.
