Hotel 81 Orchid

Friendly, efficient staff upgraded our room. It's small, but has what you need for a layover. The hotel is good value, close to shops and restaurants, and within walking distance of an MRT station.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and getting halal food nearby was easy. Bus access was convenient too. Mr. Darren, Mr Leon and the team were friendly, professional, and quick to help. We had a great stay and will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

For Singapore, the price felt worthwhile, especially with bus access nearby and plenty of halal restaurants and two Seven-Eleven stores around. The MRT is farther away, about a 15-minute walk. I booked the cheapest room. It had no window and was narrow, with a tiny bathroom where only one person could fit at a time. There was no bathroom bin, though there were useful items like a sanitary bag, toothbrush, and shower gel. Drinking water came from a tap beside the sink.

The bus stop is right around the corner, though the MRT is a bit of a walk. The room was cheap, and the space felt about what you'd expect for the price, but I might not stay here again. It was just enough room for two people and one small carry-on. The bathroom was tiny too, with no bin. The sheets didn't feel as fresh as I'd expect from a higher-star hotel, and the lights were dim. The air conditioning barely seemed to cool the room.
