The staff deserve a lot of credit. They stayed professional, calm, and patient, even when things got busy and a bit chaotic. The rooms were clean, practical, and comfortable for either work or a holiday. The property was well maintained, the shared areas were tidy, and the relaxed atmosphere felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was genuinely good, with a nice spread and solid vegetarian choices. As a vegetarian Indian traveler, I found there was enough variety to eat comfortably. The hotel is also good value for money, and I’d recommend it if cleanliness, good service, and a comfortable stay matter to you. I’m Indian myself, and I want to say this honestly and respectfully. During my stay, a large Indian tour group checked in, and their noise and general lack of consideration disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. That was disappointing because basic travel etiquette matters, not because of their nationality. When we travel abroad, our behavior reflects on us as individuals and can shape how people see our nationality. Travel well and be considerate, and this hotel will treat you well in return.

The pool was clean, refreshing, and fun, with a lovely atmosphere. It looked smaller than the photos suggested, but was still a good size, and it didn’t need to be heated. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty every time, with plenty of choices and allergens clearly marked. I didn’t try breakfast. I spent about three weeks here for a school program and had a great stay. When a room issue came up halfway through, the staff were kind and moved me right away. Both beds were incredibly comfortable, one of the best parts of the stay. I slept better than I had in ages.

The neighborhood has a traditional Singapore feel, with older shops, hawker and coffee shops, and ethnic restaurants. Supermarkets, hair salons, massage, and SIM card shops are all a short walk away, and we enjoyed visiting Bidadari Nature Park. The hotel also runs a free morning shuttle to Paya Lebar Interchange MRT. Our room was tidy and comfortable, and breakfast by the swimming pool had a generous selection for vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests. Chef George and his crew clearly take care with the tasty meals. 'Aunty' Lucy would find time for a quick chat while serving, Balan sorted out two SMRT bus/train cards for us, and Ron made a great rum and coke. Fife went out of her way to meet our room needs, while Jo and the GM checked in with us daily. Mala, Nita, Joash, Ashok, Mr Velu, Mr Nick, and the rest of the staff all made things easy for us. From the moment we arrived, the GM and her efficient team were professional, sincere, and welcoming. Staying at Ibis Styles McPherson felt like being at home with family. We’re looking forward to seeing this warm bunch again in May. XX

We spent four nights and five days here over New Year 2026, with family in two rooms. The pool was well looked after and safe for kids, and the front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast covered vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Indian, and English options. There are parks, homes, and a food court nearby with Indian, Korean, Malaysian, and Chinese food within 300 m. The bus and MRT are within 150 m, and Mattar DT25 MRT is 850 m away, with rail links to Marina Bay Sands, China Town, Little India, and other places. As expected in Singapore, the rooms were small, but the layout made good use of the space, with wall storage and a laptop desk and chair that were thoughtfully planned. Cleaning was done every two days, and the rooms were well maintained. We had a good time.
