M Hotel Singapore City Centre

We were delighted to get a complimentary suite upgrade. It was huge, cosy, and had a jacuzzi that made the room feel especially luxurious. Being able to stream shows through AirPlay, Chromecast or Miracast was a nice extra. Getting around was easy, with Tanjong Pagar MRT Station (Exit H) a short walk away. There’s a convenience store and McDonald’s nearby, and 100AM Mall and Icon Village are just a few minutes away for food and shopping. We had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

We spent three days here on vacation and paid about RM500/ night, which felt like very good value for the location. There’s a bus stand right outside, so public transport is easy to reach. Our room was spacious, with a great view and a nicely designed bathroom. It wasn’t large, but it still fit a bath tub, which was lovely after a long day exploring Singapore. The facilities were okay: there’s a gym, a pool that I didn’t get to try, and self-service laundry near the pool. One thing to know if you’re Muslim is that the hotel restaurant isn’t halal, so you’ll need to find food outside.

We could walk to Lau Pa Sat Hawker Center, Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and the marina bay from the hotel, which made getting around convenient. The room and bathroom had enough space to move about. They were cleaned daily, and the linens and towels felt crisp. There’s a Smart TV with channels and other information, plus an “Aiello” AI voice assistant that works like a virtual concierge.

Breakfast was excellent, and Fairprice supermarket nearby was really useful. The staff were friendly and helpful, though reception seemed disinterested. Aircon was adequate. The harbour view room would make the stay better, and I liked the bespoke cabinetry, dated but good quality. The vanity basin may as well have been inside the shower.
