21 Carpenter, Singapore, a Member of Design Hotels

We spent nine nights at 21 Carpenter with my mum and had such a great stay. The rooftop pool was a highlight, especially the view of Marina Bay Sands. Our room was clean, roomy and nicely renovated, and the hotel is handy for public transport and major sights. Every staff member we met was warm and welcoming. Steeven and the other bar staff made our nightly drink fun, and we enjoyed breakfast too. The service alone would bring us back. It was our best hotel stay, and we’ll definitely return.

We were given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room looked beautiful, with carefully chosen luxury touches like a Dyson hair dryer, TWG tea and Bacha coffee. Service was warm and attentive the whole time, and the location made getting around easy. We loved our stay and would happily come back.

We didn’t try the pool, though it has a gorgeous view of Marina Bay Sands at night. Getting around was simple by foot, MRT, bus or Grab, and we also made use of the hotel bike. The location was a big plus. After four nights, we were very happy with 21 Carpenter. The staff were excellent, and our clean, good-sized room had plenty of storage. It was nice to have tea and coffee in the room, plus milk in the fridge and a small refrigerator. We’d recommend it and stay again.

We felt well looked after, including by Adam at Kee's, who remembered that I found the oatmilk latte too heavy and suggested black coffee instead. At check-in, the first room didn’t look like the pictures, but Rilzam at the front desk listened patiently and found us another one we liked much better. We had a great stay, the staff were lovely, and we’ll come back.
