The shower in our room had black mold all over it, which seems like a serious health hazard. From the amount of mold, it looked as though it hadn’t been properly cleaned in over a year. When we told the front desk, they seemed completely indifferent and didn’t offer any help or solution. Hotel Re! calls itself a 4-star hotel, but our stay felt more like a rundown motel. This was probably one of the worst experiences you can have in Singapore. The conditions should be inspected by the health department. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid Hotel Re!. It wasn’t worth the time or money.

At a company dinner in the restaurant, they served fish that didn’t taste fresh and had a muddy taste. The cooked fish already smelled off when it arrived. They shouldn’t have served it. It was very unethical.

I was put off as soon as I entered my room at Hotel Re. The bedside tables had obvious coffee spill marks left by the previous guests. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained before I arrived, and finding that kind of neglect was a major turn-off. The room was extremely dirty and disgusting, and my stay was far from pleasant.

We spent a three-night long weekend here. The hotel was clean and tidy, well located for the MRT and Clarke Quay’s nightlife, and competitively priced. There’s an onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we didn’t eat there since meals weren’t part of our room price. The one reservation I had was the rating. Although it’s listed as four stars, my experience felt more like a three to three-and-a-half star stay. Still, I’d be content to stay here again on a future visit to Singapore.
