ST Signature Jalan Besar, SHORT OVERNIGHT, 8 hours: 11:59PM-8AM

The room was small, but just right for us: clean, quiet, and with a window in the private bathroom. It had a fridge and kettle, the air-conditioning worked well, and the shower pressure was good. The digital room key was efficient. Downstairs there’s a small canteen area for heating food, plus laundry facilities.

We found both room options worthwhile. I had a private washroom and my sister tried one without, and each worked well in its own way. The room was small but fair for the price. It’s easy to get to MRT stations and bus stops, and Bugis street is close enough to walk to, which made exploring simple. I had a great stay at ST Signature Jalan Besar and would recommend it 👍

The strongest point was the location. Jalan Besar MRT is right beside the hotel and connects directly to Changi, with plenty of reasonably priced shops and restaurants nearby. Shared bathrooms were plentiful, so I never waited. My cheapest booking was a twin room without a window and with a shared bathroom, for SGD 70 including taxes. The Wi-Fi was painfully slow and wouldn’t even load Google Maps. I had to leave the room and go to the lobby or outside to get online. The small rooms are clearly advertised, so that itself isn’t a complaint. I’ve stayed twice: once with the beds on the ground floor, and this time with them upstairs, reached by walking across the table and using tiny steps, which felt dangerous. I asked for a lower room but none were available, or perhaps staff didn’t check the request. The air-conditioning was strong but didn’t reach the upstairs sleeping area.

Self check-in went smoothly, and the shared facilities were well maintained. The room was clean and comfortable, the MRT is nearby, and the staff were helpful. Great stay!
