I spent sleepless, sweltering nights feeling like I was in a sauna. The room was disgustingly dirty, with visible carpet stains and surfaces that hadn't been cleaned. I felt uncomfortable the whole time. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and [Hotel Name] failed badly. Anyone considering this place should look elsewhere. It's a disgrace to the hotel industry, and you'll regret staying here. Save your money, sanity, and vacation, steer clear.

For what it costs, this is a very good deal. The surrounding views are superb, and the stay covered the basics I needed: air conditioning, a hot shower, privacy, and good cleaning service. Toiletries aren't replenished every day, and the bathroom sink tap doesn't have hot water. Still, it's worth the price.

Our room was very quiet, and opening the windows gave us a view of the Singaporean landscape. The place was clean and roomy, and the bathroom was really handy. One thing that put us off was the apparent reluctance to clean the rooms daily or change towels. The functionalities are equivalent to each other.

We've stayed in plenty of cheaper places in Singapore, and this one was the worst despite costing more. There were lots of ants in the room, including a few carrying a cockroach leg across the floor. When we asked to switch rooms, staff mocked us and suggested doing it the next day, even though we were only staying one night. Eventually the cleaning lady, whose English was better than the receptionist's, found us another room. It smelled like cigarettes, but at least it was cleaner.
