24 Inn at BTS Phrom Phong

Phrom Phong BTS is right outside the entrance, and the Em malls, lek massage, two 7-elevens, restaurants, coffee shops, and good coffee are all nearby. There’s a lot within walking distance on the cleaner side of sukhumvit. Despite being beside a busy main road, the room stays surprisingly quiet with the window closed. You can really hear the difference if you open it. The place looks new and is clean. My only issue is that the internet sometimes gets unstable. I work online, so that matters to me. If you don’t need reliable internet or have another connection, it may not bother you.

I chose the free cancellation option on Booking.com and was sure the reservation said I could cancel without a charge. I’d accidentally selected the wrong dates, so I immediately requested cancellation through the system and emailed customer service to ask if the dates could simply be changed instead. Despite several emails and phone calls, the hotel never replied. Today they refused to change my check-in dates or refund me, even though the booking had shown free cancellation. Booking.com didn’t help resolve it either. It was extremely frustrating. There was no communication, customer support, or help when I needed to fix a simple booking mistake quickly. Based on the lack of service and responsibility, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We decided not to stay and asked for our money back right away, but the hotel refused any refund. We’d rejected the room as soon as we saw it, and both its condition and quality fell far short of the listing and the price. I arrived late at night or early in the morning. Beforehand, I’d been told a standard double room would cost about $2,300 total. At check-in, staff charged $3,100, saying it included early check-in, which hadn’t been clearly disclosed. One price quoted, a much higher one charged at the door, and no recourse when the room didn’t match expectations. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch. I’ve started a chargeback with my credit card provider and will document the experience on consumer review platforms so others can make an informed decision. I can’t recommend staying here.

Housekeeping won’t clean the room unless you ask. The location is extremely convenient, maybe the best part. The rooms feel a little old, with physical keys for the doors. The price is like a 4-star hotel, but the fit-out feels more like 2 stars.
