Arawana Express Phromphong Hotel

Yothin is absolutely awesome. Whenever you need something, just ask her, though she often seems to take care of it before you even have to. The staff are amazing, the room was big enough, and the bed was comfortable. This was my first time at a different Arawana location, and I thought everything they offered was great. I'd definitely stay again. It takes the stress out of knowing you'll get a decent place.

It was such a calming and comfortable stay for me as a solo traveler, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. The area was peaceful too. I also found the washing machine really convenient at only 40 baht. If I come back to Bangkok, I'll definitely return. Thank you! 🤍

The location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk to BTS Phrom Phong, with lots of food nearby and several huge mall complexes. I had a great view of the BTS from the window and wasn't too bothered by the busy main road. The room was good overall, though it could use more renovation, and the kitchenette was a huge bonus. I stayed six nights. The staff let me check in early without a fee if I waited a little, and even helped carry our extra luggage upstairs. The room was clean and the kitchenette had what we needed to cook. The shower temperature stayed fairly consistent for a hotel near Sukhumvit, but water leaked a little around the edges and the doors didn't fully close. The bathroom sink tap barely had any pressure, while the kitchen sink was fine. The WiFi was the most annoying part. It dropped quite a few times, and I had to sign in again each time. The A/C was good and the TV worked. I found it odd that the only light switches were by the bed instead of the door. One or two rooms were being renovated during our stay, and the construction noise bothered me a couple of times. There's a laundry machine in a room behind reception, 70 baht for a wash and dry.

From the receptionist to the housekeeper, everyone was so wholesome, friendly, and helpful during my stay from 16-22 Nov 2025. I wanted to share my appreciation for the staff and the place. The room felt quite old when I first arrived, and as a young solo traveler I was a bit paranoid. But I ended up sleeping really well. They cleaned every day, refilled the tissues and other things, and all the electrical appliances worked well. It's a good choice if you want somewhere walkable to BTS Phromphong or Thonglor, near the malls, with a minimarket right downstairs. I'd love to visit again. I'm writing this in the hope it helps balance out the negative reviews.
