At 21 Saladaeng

The location is hard to beat: Silom MRT and Sala Daeng BTS are both about a three minute walk away. The facilities are lovely too, with a long swimming pool for laps or a lazy dip, plus a gym and sauna. The apartments have a separate bedroom, lounge, bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. There’s room to relax on the sofa or chairs, or work at the desk. The firm bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning kept things cool, and we liked bringing street food back to heat up and eat in. It feels more like coming home than checking into a hotel. The welcome is warm each time you return, and staff see you off with a smile when you head out. Daily housekeeping kept everything immaculate, making a longer stay easy. I can’t fault 21 Saladaeng, and highly recommend it for a Bangkok visit.

I’ve stayed here a few times and love the cozy rooms, which feel like home. It’s a peaceful spot in the middle of Silom, a nice break from the busy area. The rooms are a little aged, but they’re well maintained and still appealing. Service is okay, though I find the management too rigid. It seems like they look for every opportunity to take advantage instead of building guest loyalty.

It’s rare for me to want to revisit somewhere, since I usually like trying new places, but I’d come back here. The room had an iron and ironing board without me even having to ask, which is surprisingly uncommon. It was clean, cozy, and quiet, and the location was just right, near a park with huge lizards and a mall with a fantastic rooftop view. Many thanks to the staff!

The location is about as good as it gets, and the rooms are spacious and away from busy streets, so I slept well. Wifi was okay. The rooms felt relatively old. There was no electric stove in the room, and although you can borrow one, there’s only one for the whole hotel. Getting a second blanket was quite difficult. The gym was under-equipped by my standards, with just one multifunction machine and weights up to 10 kg.
