Centre Point Plus Hotel Pratunam

For the past three years, I’ve enjoyed breakfast at this hotel even more when Kwan is there. He’s friendly, polite, helpful, and attentive to what we need, and he works efficiently. I hope to see him again on my next visit and when I have breakfast here. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Kwan. Keep up the good work.

The rooms are nice and big, and the location is good for getting to Platinum plaza, Pratanum night markets, and Centralworld on foot. The beds were good, and there was plenty of bottled water. Breakfast had lots of variety and was very good, though expensive. Overall, the stay was reasonable, but for what we paid I expected better. Without the room size, I’d give it three stars. Some things in the room need attention. There’s no washing machine in each room, just a coin-operated one on another level for 80thb that all the guests have to wait to use. Filtered coffee bags are provided, but there’s no pot to brew them in, so otherwise you’re left with Nescafé instant coffee. There’s no iron in the room either. The shower pressure wasn’t good, there wasn’t enough toilet paper, and I had to ask for more or get it from the adjoining room. They should keep spare rolls in the drawer. The bathroom doors need cleaning, and the bathroom bin is old and rusty. On day two, our towels were so old they were heavily frayed, with fabric threads hanging off by 5-10cm. I showed reception photos, and we got better towels after that. Like a previous reviewer, I didn’t get cookies at checkout on Saturday 3rd Jan at 09:45am, while my brother-in-law got some 15 minutes later. For some strange reason, that left me feeling a bit offended.

The location is excellent for shopping, right in the middle of the area with Pratunam Market just steps away. There’s a 7 Eleven beside the hotel, and a local stall by the side entrance sells Thai BBQ pork from around 4pm, handy for a quick local bite. We booked without breakfast and had an easy stay. The staff were super friendly, check-in was a breeze, and complimentary coffee, water, and other drinks are available daily from 10am to 6pm. On weekends they serve free Thai desserts in the lobby, a thoughtful surprise. The newly renovated rooms were well maintained, with complimentary Lay’s potato chips and drinks. There’s a hairdryer in the room, and an iron and ironing board are available on request. The lift lobby and common areas look a bit dated. There are only three lifts, so waits can get quite long at peak times. Still, it was a comfortable stay, with warm hospitality and an excellent location. Recommended despite that minor inconvenience.

The people here are the reason I’ll come back. I work in hospitality myself, and I really appreciated how much care they showed every guest. I even bought the team wonton noodles from nearby, and the duty manager in the yellow dress went out of her way to get a Hello Kitty blanket. She completely exceeded my expectations. The room was surprisingly large and worked well for four adults, and unlike other places I’ve stayed in Pratunam, we couldn’t hear the traffic. Great job by the hosts, hostesses, managers, and guest services. I’ll return for the people, not the shopping. ❤️🎀
