Chakrabongse Villas

We felt like we were in a lovely little Thai village, and the grounds and villas had a very Thai feel, almost like Jim Thompson. The Royal Thai dinner by the river was special, and breakfast was excellent. The staff were great, and the manager (Ohm?) and his assistant were very gracious. The hotel is tucked along the Chao Phraya, opposite Wat Arun, and within walking distance of the Grand Palace, the Reclining Buddha, and Flower Market. We could have stayed at The Capella, The Siam, or the Oriental, but we're glad we chose this place. We'd stay again. A welcome return to Thailand after over fifty years.

Breakfast on the terrace made me feel like a movie star, and the service was top-notch. The grounds and pool are beautiful, yet the hotel is close to the main sights, the flower market, a pier, and a metro station within easy walking distance. What a stunning oasis!

Everyone at the hotel was so kind, and the food was delicious. My mother had a wonderful time during our first visit together, which lasted 4 days. I highly recommend the place and will come back each year if I return to Thailand.

Ohm and the team were incredibly kind. When the air conditioner had a problem outside their control, they were very accommodating, and Ohm gave us useful suggestions for the area. Breakfast was amazing, and we only wish we'd tried dinner too. The hotel is near some of Bangkok's biggest sites, but feels like a peaceful oasis. The comfortable rooms have Thai touches, and the beautifully landscaped grounds look out over the river and Wat Arun.
