I didn’t stay in a room, as I was there to pick up my tourists, so I can’t comment on that. The staff were hospitable, and the lobby and restroom were clean. There’s a pool to enjoy in the late afternoon or after a day tour. It seems like a good choice for visiting the historical area, with food and lots of other things nearby, though there isn’t a metro line yet. Nearby sites include The grand palace, wat pho, wat arun, khaosan road, local morning market, wat suthat, giant swing, and others. (:

The family suite was spacious and very clean, with good beds and pillows. The shower kept dripping unless we turned the water off, and the bathroom could use more hooks and a stool or something for towels and clothes. The furniture felt a little dated. The location is perfect for the grand palace. Breakfast was fine, and lunch at the restaurant one day was good, with large portions that made up for the slightly higher prices. The kids liked the pool, though it was quite dirty, with sand and leaves on the bottom.

It’s very central, and the MRT is within walking distance. The hotel was clean, the rooms a decent size, and they were cleaned and serviced every day. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The location is great, but I found the hotel a little overpriced. Nothing is particularly bad, though the rooms are basic and don’t have proper seating or proper windows. And despite the name, there aren’t any balconies.
