I ended up booking another hotel for the rest of my stay. Getting here meant pushing past countless aggressive escorts, and even though I arrived at the time stated in my booking, my room wasn't ready. I waited just under half an hour. The elevator doesn't reach my floor, so I had to take narrow stairs. My legs are bad, and no booking site had mentioned the stairs. The lobby is very nice, but once you leave it, the place changes. The walls are marked, the floors uneven, there are handprints on the glass and mirrors, and the paint is peeling. The room looked about 10 years older than the photos, and there was a hole in the headboard. I don't like wondering what happened there while I'm trying to sleep. The sink was clogged and full of water, and the broken showerhead sprayed everywhere except where I pointed it. Even setting that aside, sleep was impossible because of the bars outside. The music was extremely loud and people kept screaming until about 3am. This place fails at every level. The one thing that made me smile as I left was a cat wearing a dress sitting outside.

The room was okay for one person, but cramped, and I wouldn't recommend it for families. The club nearby blared noise from 8 PM to 4 AM, making it hard to sleep or even work on a laptop. Housekeeping was professional and always smiling, and room service was good. The other staff were rude and never smiled, especially a night shift worker at the second desk. When I asked him for a bottle opener, he glared at me as if I'd asked for his wallet. Getting around was another problem. Grab and Bolt drivers rejected me more than 30 times because the hotel is on a narrow, one-way road. Drivers often cancel when they see the alley. It may suit backpackers traveling by BTS, since the station is within walking distance, but getting there with luggage can be difficult. The 7/1 alley has ladyboy bars and pubs, and it's hard to walk through without being interrupted. People try to block your way, hold your hand, and persuade you to come inside even when you're not interested. The lift only went to the 4th floor, though my room was on the 5th, so I had to carry heavy luggage up narrow stairs. At over 1,000 baht per night, I didn't expect the lift to stop short, and I wish the booking had made that clear. My first impression at check-in had been quite positive, so this was a surprise. The bar owner and managers near the entrance and reception were also rude. They kept trying to sell drinks and beer whenever guests passed through the gate, then looked visibly upset when I said “no, thank you.” Hotel management should take this seriously. One suggestion for management: Indian guests I saw were notably loud in the common areas, reception, and lifts. Having fun is fine, but it affected the atmosphere. One day, four Indian guests got in the lift and spilled beer on the floor. Clearer guidance about behavior in shared spaces could make things more pleasant for everyone.

The first night, rain came through the ceiling and dripped into my room. Noise from the nightlife downstairs went on until 3am. I asked to move, and the hotel changed my room the next day. The pillow in the second room smelled bad too. I asked them to replace it, but they gave me another smelly one. It wasn't a pleasant stay.

After a 16-hour flight, I had to wait about 20 minutes because the room still wasn't ready at check-in. The shower was poor, and there was no body wash.

The location near Nana BTS worked well for me, and the staff were very friendly. The guy at the front desk even found a place for me to park my motorcycle. I'd definitely stay again.
