Movylodge Hostel

The stairs were a real drawback for me. I had big suitcases and wished there were a lift, since our room was upstairs. Still, for what I paid, it was worth it. There are some useful things nearby, including a 7-Eleven, and BTS Ratchathewi is close enough that getting to the train was easy. Breakfast was free and filling, with fried rice, ham, eggs and sausages instead of just bread, jam, tea or coffee. Staff aren't there around the clock, but they helped arrange self check-in by leaving my key in the mailbox. Check the door for your name and instructions.

Getting in at about 12:30am was easy. Someone helped me find my key, and the whole process went smoothly. The place was clean, and having free breakfast in the morning was a big plus. Nothing to complain about, I'd recommend it.

I liked the clean feel, comfortable beds, co-working area and decent breakfast. The location and general vibe were good too. I'd rate it four stars for those things, and it seems well suited to solo travellers. With two or more people, a budget hotel may work better. There isn't much room to open or pack suitcases. The men's shared bathroom is small and only on the second floor, while our room was on the third floor and there's no lift, so carrying luggage was a pain. Drinking water isn't available after midnight, so you'll need to get it from 7-Eleven. Most of the staff leave after 11pm.

I stayed in a four-bed room, but there were only two of us. Breakfast was free and I enjoyed it. There was some background noise in the room, so noise-cancelling headphones would be useful. The hostel is also a short walk from the train that connects to the airport. The plant workshop café nearby is worth a look.
