I'm really frustrated and sad about what happened. I called beforehand to confirm our reservation, but on arrival a staff member had given our room to two foreign tourists. When I explained that we had booked, she said she didn't know about it because she'd just come on shift. It felt like she put the tourists ahead of my reservation, which seemed unfair. I came away very disappointed. It also gave me the impression that a young, attractive tourist might get better service.

There was nobody at reception when we arrived, and we had to call and wait an hour before anyone came to check us in. A very bad experience. They also asked us to pay extra at check-in, saying they'd return it after discussing the price details with agoda. The money never came back. They told us to sort it out with agoda, even though the property wasn't responding to agoda. I reported the issue and still haven't had a response.

Be careful booking ahead through Agoda or another site, or you may lose your money. When I arrived, a 'nice' lady acted as if my online reservation wasn't real, then offered the room for a much higher price. Getting the money back afterward was difficult because Agoda lets them decide whether to refund you, and they don't. This has apparently been going on for a while, and booking sites still haven't done anything. It feels like a scam.

Avoid this place. They don't provide towels or toiletries, and even though I had paid everything through agoda, they lied and tried to charge me extra.

At 14:38 the owner was asking me to go to a different hostel, Sleepcase, and there was nobody at reception. The company is sending me to Sleepcase hostel. I'm already getting bullshit. I'll update on the hotel in real time.
