Oakwood Hotel&Residence Bangkok

May, the housekeeper, was so friendly and kind. She kept my room very clean and organized. The male staff member at the hotel bar was helpful too, and even lent me a phone charging cable. Getting around was easy since Oakwood Hotel is near Sathorn Pier and the BTS. There's a mall close by and good local food nearby, including a great som tam place just around the corner. I really enjoyed the clean room, service, and location, and would stay again if I get the chance. 💛

For a week, this was a good value hotel in a great location, close to where I needed to be. My room was clean, and I liked the bathtub, the window that opened, and the advanced toilet. Some cups were dirty when I arrived, but I got them replaced quickly. The complimentary water bottles kept being dirty, though. The bed called king size was actually two twin mattresses pushed together, and the dip between them made sleeping uncomfortable. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you hear everything. The gym is laughably small.

The pool was refreshing in the hot midday sun, and we enjoyed breakfast. The location was perfect, close to the BTS and around the corner from a small shopping center with a food court, street food, and 7-11. All the staff were 10 out of 10. When our key fob caused an issue, the handyman fixed the door lock straight away. May, the cleaning lady, was so sweet and left our room spotless every day. The front desk staff were always there to help and answer questions. It was our first time in Thailand, and we'd definitely stay here again if we come back to Bangkok.

On my special day at Oakwood Hotel & Residence Bangkok, I only asked for a simple room cleaning. The staff surprised me with a birthday cake, an unexpected gesture that touched me and made the occasion more special. They were attentive and kind, and went beyond what I expected. I highly recommend the hotel for its excellent service and sincere hospitality.
