Atlas Bangkok Hotel

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the blanket was especially soft and cozy. The air conditioning kept the room cool, and the bathroom was clean with both hot and cold water. We checked in around 3 p.m. and the staff explained the house rules clearly. We were in Room 401, where there was a strong cigarette smell as soon as we entered. The windows weren’t properly shut, which we thought might explain it, but the smoke also seemed to have soaked into the wall paint. The smell lingered whenever we were away. Guests have to leave their keys at reception when going out to save electricity, but every time we came back, the smoke smell was still there. It was frustrating.

I’ve stayed at Atlas hotel Bangkok many times over many years, but recently the security has seemed very poor. The night counter staff were very rude, and I no longer feel it’s safe to stay there. The hotel should protect its customers, but it seems they don’t care. The night staff are no good. I’ll never return, and I recommend people stay elsewhere.

Generally okay, and the better rooms are good value. The hotel is close to everything, though when you come and go you have to pass ladyboys from the bars nearby offering massage services. On my latest visit, I noticed the hotel also rents rooms by the hour for 350B. Service varies depending on who’s working.

The location is very good, and the rooms are clean. The staff are friendly and helped us with transportation.
