At around €80 a night, getting here from Phaya Thai takes a taxi or tuk-tuk and costs about 350 THB. The location makes up for that: Wat Pho, the Flower Market, the Grand Palace, and the National Museum are all within walking distance. On the parallel street further inside, there’s a 7/11 and a couple of good outdoor restaurants serving traditional food for a few euros per person. The hotel itself is very nice, well stocked, and decorated in Thai style. The staff are friendly, and the included breakfast is good, with Western and Eastern choices.

The people waiting for His Majesty King Rama IX’s royal funeral, out in the sun and rain, really needed that help. Thank you for handing out drinking water, vegetarian buns, and food. It meant a lot to those of us in line. ♡

Just a short walk from Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, with a lovely air-conditioned room. Breakfast was great too. The hotel’s refined design has a lovely old Bangkok feel.
