U Sabai Hotel

Breakfast was the letdown for me. There wasn’t much variety, and the taste didn’t stand out. Given how clean and well-kept the hotel is, I expected more from the morning meal. More choices and better flavors would help. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and maintained well during my stay. Housekeeping did a good job, the space felt fresh and organized, and the bed and basic amenities were in good working order. U Sabai Hotel is a solid Bangkok option if you want a tidy place, but I’d keep breakfast expectations modest or eat out.

A charming hotel that seems just like the pictures, and I’d especially recommend it for a longer stay. The rooms are clean, very spacious, and have lots of storage, including two nice wardrobes. There’s a small balcony and laundry facilities on the property. The shower area is quite tight, though that’s only a real issue if you’re a big guy. The rooftop bar is decent, with a good bartender, but not much alcohol to choose from. Breakfast is a small, inexpensive buffet, though the selection gets a bit repetitive.

All eight of us had a wonderful five-night stay, sharing four rooms, with no complaints and lots of good memories. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and well cared for, and very affordable for the level of service. Just outside, there were plenty of local restaurants serving great food at good prices. The receptionist made us feel welcome right away, with genuine warmth, politeness, and a smile. He went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. We got free welcome drinks, and even when we came back late and tired, he surprised us with more. He also arranged a van to the airport, which made things easy. The reception staff were polite and welcoming, and U-Cafe serves authentic Thai and Western food at fair local prices, so there’s no need to go out searching for a meal. The atmosphere around the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is good and inexpensive, there’s laundry, and the parking area is large and organized. There’s also a rooftop bar-restaurant with a city view, and the hotel is beside the Chao Praya River. It’s a quiet location near Iconsiam, with metro access, but getting into town takes about 45 minutes. The rooms are very spacious for a family, even though they feel small and cozy. There are lots of little shelves in the cupboards for belongings.
