There was black mould in the ceiling corners, a serious health hazard. I’ve attached photos. There were also mosquitos throughout the room because the windows had been left open and there was no mosquito net. The area itself wasn’t very attractive, with not much going on, though that’s just a side note and not really about the property. When I arrived, they asked for a cash deposit, even though I’d booked through Agoda and hadn’t been told about one. I asked for a receipt for the cash I handed over, but the man at reception, who barely spoke English, refused. I called the manager or supervisor, and after a short argument they stopped asking me for the deposit. The receptionist was hostile, inappropriate, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Thankfully, the supervisor lady on the phone was nice and tried to help. Agoda and the instructions clearly listed checkout as 12:30pm, but the receptionist kept insisting I had to leave before 12:00pm. He was rude and unhappy when I showed him the published checkout time. I couldn’t connect to the wifi at first. They said too many people were connected, which didn’t make sense to me. The supervisor agreed to reset the router, and then it worked. I appreciated that. This was very disappointing, especially since the property had decent reviews and I expected a much better experience. I can’t recommend it and definitely wouldn’t return.
