Tori Crown Hotel

Jasper at reception really made a difference. He was great to talk with and gave us useful information about where to go and other things. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. As for the hotel, it's good for the price, though a bit old and not high class. We stayed 8 days. They cleaned the room, but it still felt a little dusty, so you're getting what you paid for. The location is great, around 5-10 minutes from the BTS and Pratunam market, with a 7 eleven right in front. I'll definitely stay here again.

Mike at reception made our stay much nicer. He was really friendly, answered all our questions about directions, and gave us great advice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the hotel is a little old and could use a revamp. It's conveniently located near Phaya Thai. Highly recommend!

Shopping is easy from this hotel, with the night market, morning market, Big C, and Platinum Mall all within a short walk. My wife, kid, and I stayed for two nights, and a friend and his wife stayed there too. We had a fairly good experience overall. Our room was quite clean, but the washroom smelled bad two or three times during our stay. My friend's room had a partly broken-looking sofa, and he mentioned a few washroom problems as well. It's a good spot for travelers who want to be near shopping, but better room upkeep and washroom conditions would make the stay more comfortable.

The two receptionists were really nice, but the third one, who I think was the manager, wasn't great. Still, I don't want other people to go through this. The room smelled awful, the bathrooms were moldy, the sheets were unclean, and the showers didn't drain. When I complained, they just smiled, as if they knew it'd be hard for us to get a refund. I've added pictures. At this point I don't even care about the money. I just want people to know what it's like here. We first stayed at Tori Primo, a newer location owned by the same people. The door sign said soft-opening, but we didn't think much of it. The room was basically just the bed with a small bathroom attached. Its shower wouldn't drain, and we couldn't get to sleep before midnight because staff were in our room, frantically trying to clear it. Even after that, the water drained so slowly it backed up and spilled onto the toilet side. The next morning, some kind of construction was going on and the whole building smelled of paint thinner. It was so bad we left, then came back hours later to find them still at it. I can understand an emergency, but this seemed planned and necessary. They shouldn't have started renting rooms if that was the case. The pictures I attached for Tori Crown Hotel show the room they moved us to as an "upgrade" because of the inconvenience. That big bed was terribly uncomfortable, with the seam where two twin beds had been pushed together. It's a stinkhole of a situation, and a poorly managed wreck of a hotel chain. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.
