The Moat Hostel

The bathroom was pretty disgusting, with hair all over the floor and dust and damp on the walls. The whole place felt dusty, including the coffee self-service area, which looked as if it hadn’t been cared for in months. My room was only just okay, like my mom’s basement, with no window insulation, so I could hear everything outside at night. Water running in other rooms sounded weirdly like someone throwing up, and there were bugs too. I’d told them when I’d arrive and was told someone would be there, but nobody was around when I got to Moat Hostel. I waited about five minutes before anyone came. There was no hello or thank you, and the cash payment felt rushed. I only stayed one night and wasn’t expecting anything fancy for the price, but this was disappointing. Nobody was there at checkout either, so I left the key in the room. 1/10, wouldn’t recommend.
