One Budget Hotel Chiang Rai Airport

The rooms are a good size, nice and clean. We ran into a few booking problems, but sorted them out directly with the hotel after a few calls. I only wish the hair dryer would run for longer than a minute at a time!

The price is reasonable, and the hotel felt safe and clean. The staff were friendly. Just be aware there’s no breakfast.

Modern rooms. In the morning, tea, coffee, chocolate drink and biscuits are free. There’s a 300 THB security deposit.

We’ve stayed here many times because the price on Agoda is incredible, under 500 baht. The rooms are compact but work well, and the fitness center on the top floor and two meeting rooms are handy. There’s a large, uncovered parking area. Big groups stay here, but we’ve never found it noisy inside. You can sometimes hear motorbikes revving at the nearby main road and stoplight. Rooms may get warm in the direct sun, though the aircon works well. There’s a small refrigerator, plus free chilled and hit water dispensers in the lobby. A machine serves coffee, cappuccino or Thai tea from instant powder at the touch of a button until 11am, and there are cookies too. BIG C is opposite, with some restaurants and a food court. Most evenings there’s also a great outdoor night market for food. You can bring food back to eat in the small lobby, which has a microwave. There are a few small restaurants and cafes nearby during the day, as well as three massage places.
