We Resident Hotel

During heavy rain last night, water kept seeping in near the nightstand. The bathroom also had soap scum, and the sink seemed to leak nonstop. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned, and when we tried to check out around 9am, there was nobody at the counter.

For the price, you get what you pay for. It’s a basic 2-star hotel and the rooms are okay, but it’s a bit far from the city. Ants were everywhere, the bed was rock hard, and the pillows were very thin. You have to remind them to clean, and ask for toilet paper and tissues. There’s no bag in the bin, so bring your own, and an extra pillow costs more. People smoked in the rooms, the kettle was broken, the internet was awful and went down every day, and the TV wouldn’t connect. Staff don’t speak good English. If you need to leave early in the morning, there won’t be anyone at the counter to check you out or refund your deposit, so make sure you check out before 8pm the day before.

The room was dirty and dusty, with no toiletries or Wi-Fi. The air conditioner was dirty and poorly maintained.

For a one-night stop before my flight from Hat Yai airport, this was a practical choice at 540 baht. The room had plenty of space and storage, and the bed was comfortable. The bedding was fresh, though the general cleanliness was only about 3 out of 5. There isn’t enough parking on site, but public spaces along the road are easy to find. At that price, I didn’t have much to complain about.
