Phi Phi Andaman Legacy Resort

We felt safe and enjoyed the great balcony. The room was clean and nice, with excellent air conditioning, and the area was very quiet. The hotel is large, and it almost felt as if we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was good, especially the fantastic omelette. The bathroom was spotless and everything worked perfectly, though it could use an update. There are no taxis on the island, so getting around means a bit of walking, but it's definitely worth it.

We had a pleasant enough stay, though it wasn't the best. The place is cute, recently renovated, and looks really nice. The shower water got warm but never properly hot, which was annoying, and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. We didn't raise it because we didn't feel like changing rooms or talking to reception while on vacation. I'm sure they would've helped, as they seemed very kind.

We had a very disappointing stay at Phi Phi Andaman Legacy Resort. The AC unit in our room was extremely dirty, covered in mold and dust. After staying there, both of us became sick, and our holiday was ruined. We told the staff, but they showed little concern and offered neither compensation nor a reasonable fix. Guest health and cleanliness should be priorities at a hotel, and that clearly wasn't the case here. I wouldn't recommend staying unless the hotel makes serious improvements to hygiene and customer service.

The staff were all very friendly, and when we got off the boat there was a man with a hotel sign ready to help with our bags. They don't mention it, but it's a free service, though we tipped him. We spent four nights here and upgraded to the Garden Villa. I recommend doing that if you'd like a higher-spec room; ours made the stay feel more like a 4-star experience, and we liked it a lot. The pool was very clean and had decent sun beds, with plenty of good beaches nearby too. We skipped breakfast because the reviews of it were pretty dreadful, and from a distance it didn't look great. We ate in the main part of Phi Phi instead, where food was still pretty cheap.
