Seahorse Bungalow 2

The bungalow was very calm, with a terrace and no sea view, but only 30 steps from shore. It had good service from kind people, a very good breakfast and good WiFi. The large bathroom had hot water too. The deluxe double room's king bed felt too big for the bungalow. A slightly smaller double bed would leave more room for luggage and moving around. Apart from that, everything was perfect. I'd rent a motorbike at the pier as soon as you arrive on the island. A taxi ride is about 250, while the motorbike is 300/d with free petrol.

This was my second visit and I was still impressed. Our Standard Apartment Room was small but cozy, and very close to the beach. The owner/caretaker and staff were so accommodating, and breakfast was good. You get a 10% discount at their restaurant if you're staying at the hotel.

It's cheap, and basically gives you a room for your clothes and a bed to sleep in. The staff are friendly, but the free breakfast was about the worst I've had in Thailand in 20 years. The only Western item was old, flavorless French fries. No fried eggs, toast, ham or bacon, or cereal. If there was fresh fruit, I couldn't find it. It seemed set up only for Chinese guests, and even my Thai wife couldn't find anything she'd eat.

The host couldn't have been nicer. She helped us call for our boat, and the staff helped load our luggage. I also liked that this cove was quieter and farther from the noise at some other beaches. We enjoyed the stay, with the beach only a few steps away and a restaurant right next to the waves.
