Elite Suites Patong Hotel

The large, comfortable rooms and genuinely excellent pool were the best parts for us. Breakfast was decent, with a reasonable selection and an Indian dish each day, and the restaurant staff were supportive. The location also worked well for Patong. I may have had the wrong idea about how close Bangla Road would feel: it’s about a 15-minute walk, which is fine, but may not suit everyone looking for nightlife access. Checkout was stressful and needs to be handled better. Staff hadn’t properly checked the room and first said slippers and a tea cup were missing, though both turned up there. They also mentioned a broken TV, but it had already been removed before I got to the room, so I couldn’t check it myself. After some back and forth they did return the deposit. Some of the building feels dated, especially the furniture and TVs. There’s no smart TV, only one kids’ channel, and the channel issue was never fixed. Housekeeping was uneven too. We had mosquitoes at first; staff dealt with it after we told them, but the problem came back. I’d call this a solid 3.5-4 star stay for the rooms, pool, and location, though they should improve checkout and coordination.

The bed was incredibly hard, with barely any give. I only mentioned it at checkout, and the front desk said they could have brought a mattress topper if I’d asked sooner. So there is a fix if you find the bed too firm. Otherwise, the rooms were spacious and clean, about what you’d expect for the price, and the pool was lovely. It sits in the middle of the hotel and only gets direct sun for a few short hours each day. Breakfast was included and fantastic, with lots of options plus a chef who’d make banana pancakes or an omelette on request. Plenty of fun sights in Patong are walkable, and Patong beach is about a 10-minute walk away.

We swam and enjoyed happy hour by the beautiful pool almost every day. The drink deals were very cheap, including two-for-one cocktails. Pool service was beyond exceptional, with staff hurrying over to make sure we had what we wanted. It’s also an easy walk to the main Patong area, and getting transport to other parts of the island was simple. The service at Elite Suites was excellent, and we’ll stay here again on our next Phuket trip.

The bathroom was the one thing I found a bit small and wished had more space. Otherwise, I had a great stay at elite suites. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of variety, including Indian options, and it seems well suited to families. They take a 1000 bhat cash security deposit, which is refundable at checkout as long as nothing in the room has been mishandled.
