We left after checking in for about 10 minutes because the room was so bad, and then couldn't get a refund from either the hotel or trip.com. The whole place felt dirty and run down, and what we got looked nothing like the advertised photos. Our room had a concrete floor, no windows or balcony, a wet dog smell, and AC that didn't work. We were on the fifth floor and there was no elevator. It was 33 degrees, and with no window or balcony we couldn't stay in that room. We asked to move, but were told the hotel was full and we'd have to wait over an hour for someone to fix the AC. The staff weren't helpful, and we felt very unsafe there with our two teenage girls. Very disappointing. Don't stay here.

I came back late after checkout and found all my belongings sitting at the reception. They told me they'd kicked me out of the room because checkout time had passed. They had both my WhatsApp number and Thai local number, but didn't try to contact me first. I've travelled for a long time and never had a hotel handle things this way. They even touched my underwear. It was gross, upsetting and horrifying.

The room was decent for what I paid, and having a balcony was a plus. Service was average, and there's no elevator. Bangla street is about a 15-20 minute walk, with local food, seven eleven and massage parlors around the hotel.

The noise bothered me, though I've run into that in almost every hotel. Otherwise I had a good stay: the room had a balcony and air conditioner, cleaning was good, and the staff were really friendly. I don't know why this hotel gets such bad reviews. I can definitely recommend it.

The floors in our room were very dirty and black, and the room itself was only average. I stayed at Islanda Hotel Patong for three days. We arrived around 11:00 AM, but they held to a 2:00 PM check-in and asked for another 200 baht when we politely requested an early room. After a long journey, that felt unreasonable. At checkout I asked to stay three extra hours. The manager wanted 200 baht per hour, which also felt excessive and unaccommodating. Between that and the repeated extra charges, the service didn't feel guest-friendly. I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless its policies improve.
